in the February online issue of Maclean’s

Established in 1986, the 3M National Teaching Fellowship is sponsored by 3M Canada and the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE). The Fellowship is a remarkable example of private sector and not-for-profit educational cooperation and has earned an enviable national and international reputation. It is the only pan-Canadian, cross-disciplinary recognition of educational leadership and excellence in post-secondary teaching. The Fellowship recognizes university and college teachers who have demonstrated leadership in enhancing post-secondary teaching excellence locally, nationally, and often internationally, and superlative undergraduate teaching sustained over several years.

STLHE Annual Conference

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education has made the decision not to hold their Conference in 2020.

Panels and papers accepted this year will be invited to present at the 2021 Conference, scheduled for June 15-18 in Ottawa. Delegates will also have the opportunity to submit new proposals and/or revise existing abstracts for the 2021 conference. More information will be coming soon.

STLHE has much to celebrate in 2020-2021 with the 40th anniversary of the annual conference and 40th anniversary of the establishment of the organization. We look forward to coming together as a community to celebrate these anniversaries at a time when it is safe to do so.
